We dont digital download movies to own but rent a movie from our provider most weekend which is streamed On Demand. Are these measured or is it a different thing from DD ? Finally Blu Ray players and Movies are still premium priced here in the UK. Any idea when they will bring the costs down to a reasonable level ? |
At this rate never, LOL. But in all seriousness though, It will take probably 2 years before DVD starts getting forced off the shelves due to studios deciding to side with Blu-ray completely and slowly weening DVD production. Alot like what happened to VHS. But this will only happen if Blu-ray starts picking up market share. This holiday season could be the real tell on its future. Will it end up being the default medium for movies? Or just a high def alternative?
DD is measured like DVD and Blu-ray is measured. Revenue
DD Renting is measured, but it is measured separately. But so is DVD and Blu-ray renting
That I cannot answer, prices have come down quite a bit here in the states. Most new movies are under $20 and Blu-ray players have hit the $100 barrier.
