I cant believe anyone that is interested in fitness would rather have the ability to detect slight shifting of weight over the ability to have more intense ( like simply aerobics ) exercises. Not to mention the ability to do exercises where you arent stuck to the board. The most intense exercise in WiiFit is probably running and it doesnt even use the board. Tries to judge your running in place with the WiiMote instead. Then you have the stepping exercise and the boxing exercise. Natal would be able to use any step that you purchase at a fitness store and it could be larger for more intense stepping workout.
As for Velocity Sensor. No way, putting a pulse monitor on my finger is so 10 years ago. If one of the manufacturers really thinks a HRM will work then a watch type would be far better.
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
