Nintendo has been trying to play their conservative game and hint that they might not increase production until the end of the fiscal year, but I hope they're at least laying the groundwork.

I know Christmas is a special time, but when you're halfway through December and you're starting to sell January's stock, you need to kick things up a notch. Production needs to get to 2-2.5 million. If that actually creates a surplus (doubtful), they can drop the price and move those units anyway.

I'm sure that how the business work. They easily double their production and just after that they cut the price with over stock. Genius! I think that Nintendo know what they are doing and even if they don't, I don't think that those kind of idea are susceptible to cross their mind...

Nice attitude you have there. Some of us like to discuss sales and production on this sales site, rather than just kick back and assume the industry makes all the right decisions, which it clearly doesn't.

I'm not sure why they wouldn't increase production by 10-40% (not the 'doubling' you pulled out of your ass) as soon as they can. They can easily cut price by $50 if they have to move a surplus and quickly make that lost profit back with peripherals and software. Heck, if the new buyer just picks up LoZ:TP and SMG, that probably earns Nintendo back that $50.
