I tried to play FF VII a couple years ago got about 11 hours in and got bored and stopped playing. the start was great but then there was just a lot of crap I am sure it gets better later or something but the games has serious problems. the controls are weird A lot of the menu navigation and battles could be streamlined, the character models suck, the Dialogue is pretty poor in a lot of areas (bad translation probably) the pre rendered cut scenes are pretty low quality (they may have been good at the time sure) and don't look much better than in game TBH. A remake could make a great and game out of it tho.
