Don't blame Nintendo. Blame larger regions. They have more people, so they get the supply, by laws of economics, not anything against those people.
If anything, this is proof Nintendo isn't stockpiling, as this is the worst time to holding back in a place with a holiday shopping season.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
