I completely agree with this thread:
I've been a Nintendo fan since I was about 8, and I have never ever understood this jazz arriving this generation about Nintendo abandoning it's fans or their quality of games falling. I would even go as far as saying that with the exception of Paper Mario and maybe 3d Metroid, all Nintendo franchises are as good or better on Wii than the Gamecube. Mario Galaxy is an improvement on Sunshine, Brawl on Melee, MKWii on DD, Wario Land TSD on WarioWorld, etc.
Hell, I would go as far as saying that the Wii's 1st party line up is considerably more impressive than the Gamecube's considering that the Wii is probably about 2/3 of the way through it's life.
