Nintendo is amazing. They've got the smartest and most creative people on the planet there. Not being a huge fan of cartoony platformers (I prefer games like Prince of Persia, Mirror's Edge), Mario has never really done it for me. I'll admit that they're amazing games, but I don't really like the genre that much.
Zelda on the other hand, is the embodiment of perfect gaming to me. They take platforming, combat, puzzles, story, graphics, and each time I play a Zelda game I'm floored. If it wasn't for Zelda, I would've never bought a Gamecube or Wii, now they're my favorite consoles of all time.
Congrats Nintendo, for being the best developer every year since 1981.
