I should also mention that developers making games for Xbox Live can pretty seamlessly port them to Windows Mobile 7 with 97% of common code. So the precedent where a handheld can do HD console effects has already been made.

Its the forerunner atm for the 3DS graphics chip. Up to 24 Geometry/pixel shaders, OGL 2.0 ES support, programmable shaders etc also claimed lowest industry power consumption (don't they all claim this???)
