This game is actually an enhanced port of the Arcade title Battle Road Victory 2. Allowing people to play the game on the Wii without having to buy all the Cards and even adding new cards/single player customization options/story features.
I'm really glad they ported it to Wii, with tons of improvements even. I was hoping they would even before it was announced. But it'll be a total waste if they never release it to a i region that never had an oppertunity to play the Arcade game in the first place.

I didn't know you liked dragon quest.
|
Is that sarcasm? 0.o
Yeah, I like Dragon Quest. Probably a bit too much.
|
Of course its sarcasm, your the guy who thinks DQ is more successful than FF lol
|
No, I think Dragon Quest IX will sell more than FFXIII. There's a difference.
I know quite well how much more Final Fantasy has sold over Dragon Quest worldwide in total. But considering FInal Fantasy is where it is by massive marketing and worldwide numbers and Dragon Quest is close behind by pretty much only being popular in ONE country, I think that says something.
|
You think DQIX will do over 6.5 Million worldwide?
|
Who said anything about 6.5 million? I said over FFXIII. That only means it has to do around 5.5 Million.
If Nintendo comes through with their marketing, it should be able to. DQIX is still selling in Japan and if it can get another million in both America and Europe (it did with Dragon Quest VIII), it could easily reach that goal. Its all down to how much marketing Nintendo puts behind it.
|
FF13 sold 40K this week....combined....over a year thats 2 Million, of course it will go down but without a re-release it can do 1 Million more by the end of its life easily, but of course it will get platinum versions. ITs not ending its run at 5.5 Million dude. It hasn't got any re-release in JApan (which for FFX-2 sold 400K & for FFX sold 70oK) nor has it got platinum versions.
So DQ9 would have to do over 6.5 Million to beat FFXIII's final sales.

We'll see. I think its a stretch when FFXIII is already hitting the bargain bin in Japan after 3 months and it took Dragon Quest IX nearly 9 months to do the same. And Dragon Quest IX still sold throughout.
I don't think the sales for FFXIII are going to last as long as you think. And I don't think a re-release is going to have as big of an impact as past FF games. Plus the sales in America are all but gone.
