Looks like someome had their Weaties this morning. You hit the nail on the head. When ever Nintendo tries to be like their competition, they lose. When they don't, and go down a different path, they succeed. Nintendo trying to keep themselves unique is going to be what keeps them going. At the end of Blue Ocean Strategy it mentions that competitors will come in and try to take some of the new market. To be successful, the company needs to keep moving. Much like in the movies, you just keep swiming wildly while the bad guys miss with all their shots. The more you move, the better off you are. Nintendo is definatly taking a page from this. This may be why the Vitality Sensor was shown with no software. It's to show how they keep moving. 3DS is probably another dodge by Nintendo, and probably a counter attack. |
@Smashchu2 Yes, I also believe that Sean Malstrom mentioned in one of his articles that he feels that the 3DS will be a very disruptive product and that it won't be like anything we have typically seen from Nintendo. I think he also might be suggesting that it is some sort of counter attack. I'm very interested to see what the 3DS will be like when Nintendo shows it at their E3 conference.
