They could be just building up the hype and then show something real about all those games they've announced. A real trailer instead of a teaser, gameplay... You know, something like that. Or maybe they do have some bigger announcements.
I don't know, this thought came in my mind as well. But I doubt they'd do it as 'damage control'. And I'm not sure if I care either, they've got a great lineup for both E3 and the future as well.
