In an effort to be more EPIC!!!!!, game soundtracks start to blend and sound the same. This is the reason why I can remember simple "bleeps and bloops" (if you will) from games like Sonic, Metroid, Mario,Rygar, and the little more advanced FF7 and Zelda, but cannot remember much else from this gen except the Gears theme, and....and.....shoot I can't remember anything else! It really is a shame that music took the back seat. It is just like in wrestling- the best theme song can even make the worst/tame/boring wrestler shine. Poor games can live on through standout tracks. Can anyone honestly say they remember Hot Rod on the Commodore 64? No, but even they can't neglect the awesome in its soundtrack. |
But Malstrom thinks that as well, therefore it's wrong.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
