I was reading another thread before, and it mentioned that in terms of the Move, people somehow unsatisfied with the Wii's motion controls probably won't pay $250-$350 to try MotionControls on the PS3. In order for the PS3 or 360 to really cause an impact with these things, they need first party software, or a killer app that puts their device above the rest.
Then I thought about Wii Party. I don't know if the Vitality Sensor will be compatible with it, put I'm pretty sure Wii Motion Plus will be. However, WM+ isn't the point of this thread, but the actual game itself. It is supposed to have 80+ minigames.
I figure what Nintendo is trying to do here is provide an "anything you can do, I can do better" game. I don't know what minigames will be included, or if it will remain true to the Mario Party formula with a board game related style. I'm assuming that there will be some overlap with what some Move games will provide and what WiiParty will.
With this many minigames inside WP (80+) it seems like a motion control blowout where any conceiveable ideas that consumers would want MC for in a videogame is there. Do not forget Wii Sports & Resort too.
Natal's hook can be the graphics+"controllerless control", but it will be really hard for the Move to have a hook besides the graphics. I'm not trying to bash either one, but I want to know what they will need to differentiate themselves based on what they have, and what Wii Party is making available.
