Interesting question. While I am no expert sales analyst nevertheless I'll say it will probably depend on how long the current generation of consoles stay on the market and even then considering that they both will likely surpass the NES.
Which just shows how much the gaming industry has expanded over the years.
As to which one will do first I'll say it's a tossup (with maybe the PS3 doing it first.) it's still difficult to say for certain.
