ohhhhh i love guesses.
I see a WiiHD being a little like this.
Similar look.
Ability to copy over full VC and WiiWare, basically anything you purchased.
-This will completely remove these items from your current Wii.
Fully backwards compatible with GC and Wii.
Slightly different Wiimote/nunchuk. simply more advanced system w/ built in batteries and charger system.
CPU/GPU/Memory slightly more than 360, maybe 1.5x to 2x more.
-This will ensure really low entry price. Again, $200-$250 plus pack-in.
No Harddrive. Instead much larger flash memory. 4Gb to 10Gb.
-This is, again, more cost effective and has a better reliability.
Will have bluetooth and usb 2.0 ports again. (Your Bluetooth keyboards and headsets will still work)
Will either use DVD's again or the HD solution using the red laser.
-It is far more cost effective than either HDDVD or Bluray and has nearly the same storage space.
-See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Versatile_Multilayer_Disc for more info.
However, all 3 companies will be shooting to be out first. So expect all to come about same time. Since Nintendo is a perfectionist and has NEVER come out first, I expect them to be within 1 year of whomever is first.
These specs will give them a noticeable difference in performance and abilities, HD visuals and sound, a lower mass market price out the gate, profitability out the gate, and basically everything that has made the Wii a success.
