Although even reduced to 5th gen graphics, some detail would have to be dropped. Then again, they could do it as a top down style game, like Zelda, or the Mana series. That would be sweet.
BTW, the DS is getting Assassin's Creed, but how it will be adapted remains to be seen.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
