After navigating the site for the day I really think this is a much better set up than what version 2 was, took a little while to relearn everything but I think I got it sorted.
I really like how the site is broken up into four mini-sites, makes it seem more professional and much less cluttered on the front page. I think if your having issues with how the site is you should give it time, maybe that might help you come to terms with the new layout... that or piss off to IGN.
