That happens all the time with cellphones, clothes, cars and accessories of various kinds. Maybe it can happen to a console aimed at the unstable casual masses? Who knows? Right now, I don't give a crap, but it'll be exciting to see how things are in 2-3 years. Meanwhile, I'll be playing my PC, cursing it for already being too slow even though I spent 4000$ on it last year...

We won't know until such a console is released.

The Wii is aimed at core and casual gamers to reinforce their interest to keep playing games while simultaneously offering games that are easily accessible for everyone, including people who haven't played videogames before.

If the Wii would be only aimed solely at casuals (as some people mistakenly think), why is it that you hear core gamers continuously speculate on how the Wiimote could be used in established genres and for what new kinds of games it could be used?

As a sidenote, I hate Rayman 3. It took me 15 minutes to type this post because of this game.

Its aimed at everyone, in fact they even said so at E3 2006, the war is against indifference
