Here's my take on it.
We don't know enough about the universe. How can we in one breath, discuss the infinite possibilities of it, and in another breath lambast our fellow man for developing an ideology. There are far too many secular progressives amongst this age backet who are just as zealotous as any creationist, and far more mean spirited, so who is really the bad guy here? When you could absolutely care less about how you treat people, then you are. The thing religion instills is a sense of morals, which many of you are obviously missing, and it's a failure of society.
