I thought Johnny rocked in Charlie! What I didn't like was this:

 

Freaky as hell.

Johnyy sucked imo, he turned the charismatic, cool & amazing Willy Wonka into some social reject, nervous wreck (roflroflrofl).

The Oompa Loompa's were terrible I agree

But everything else about the film was great, especially the ending.
