In Australia we've had no shortages of any console in over a year. Last time was in 08 before Christmas when there were wii shortages.
There seem to be many people in this thread trying to claim or hint that because there are no shortages where they live that the shortages in America are bogus even if they happen to live in Europe and elsewhere. Then when they are reminded of that fact they try and shield themselves by saying they are just replying to the OP and that PS3 fans shouldn't be so defensive.
Most of these same people are fans of another console which I will not name. I would have thought they would be happy the PS3 is not selling as much as it would if there were no shortages.
Just be happy that all consoles are doing fairly well.
