just that the way SAMSUNG promote their products and are very passive about it and only take out a tech when everybody else is and when that etch is booming is a very bad habit of theirs which i don't like
i do not hate their products if they are good just that their 3DTV's didn't appeal to me
now back to the the main discussions, plasmas are better than LCD even in 2D but Plasma isn't coming back.LCD are the winners.
only thing we can hope is if OLED come and do a good job
and that we compare 3D on different LCD's |
Plasma never left. The reason why LCD sells more is because you can't make a plasma under 42 inches in size and keep the product price competitive. LCDs have higher profit margins hence more companies make it.When you get to 50 inches or more, plasma is still a large portion of the market. Not to mention that R&D is still being done on plasmas by Panasonic and Samsung...Its a shame Pioneer left the Tv market as their plasma TVs were better than anything else on the market.
In any case, to me its all about choice. 3D on DLP TVs, laser tv, plasma, LCD...the more the marreir. I for one sure hope Mitsubishi keeps building their DLP TV sets. I'll buy their 82 inch DLP model if tey do sometime in 2012...which is when I hope to buy a house. :)
