don't get a samsung if you are going 3d..

trust me it's all depth not 3D

Sorry leo J, this isnt' correct. They are all the same tech and work pretty much the same.

If it was all "depth" then it wasn't the TV but the movie you were watching.  You prolly saw Monsters VS Aliens which is a 3D movie converted.

Samsung has an early advantage as they've been doing 3D with plasmas and DLPs sine 2007. I'd go with samsung over anything at the moment else to be honest...

OT - I may try it. I have a TV which will work but no PS3. If the games are mindblowing in 3D I'll get a PS3...but I am not holding my breath. If its not 80% as good as 3D vision on the PC I prolly wont bother

samsungs are polarised, some companies are taking out Shutter glass tech

SAMsung is very bad, even are LG.I have experienced them and its like you are just watching a darker image with black glasses.there is no 3D effect

it is so typical SAMSUNG and LG,that they just wanted to get ahead of the competition and they released products that haven't been properly reseached and worked on.

their 3DTV plans weren't even out until JAN and that was too because of SONY announcing the 3D for this years with all its PS3,WORLD CUP,etc promotions.

SAMSUNG and LG just put out products when the tech is coming and never bring something revolutionary."OH 3D is gonna be big and all these companies are promoting it and taking out products, let us to take one out of our own"

the early promotion of SAmsung on DLP's and plasma is almost inexistant

i have seen AVATAR game and some other PC games on my friend's SAMSUNG 3DTV(the new ones),he like a fool just went and bought it cause he thought it is the new 'BIG THING' without even comparing it with other 3DTV's and techs

lol...you crack me up dude.

1. the new 3D TV's (samsung, LG) don't work with 3D vision or 3D gaming on pc yet. You and your magical friend must have been playing some magical prototype version of avatar with this TV.

2. Samsung had this tech ready in 2009 as they released 3D monitors for 3D vision. They waited for the HDMI 1.4 to be finalized in order to release LCD TV's. They are at least 2 years ahead of Sony in the 3D TV tech hence they could release this early.

3. You "saw" this TV and it was no good. Did you play around with depth or conversion? Do you even know what this means?

4. Samsung does not make a single polarized display. I don't tknow what you are talking about.

5. There is nothing "revolutionary" that Sony can do with the actual TVs. All TV needs to do is display a frame to each eye and make the glasses shutter. Samsung TV does this perfectly. As does LG 3D TV. After that its all about the content. Content makes the 3D look great on any TV and pop out...not the TV it self.
