Does anyone know why Nintendo isn't releasing any SNES games that made use of the Super FX or Super FX 2 chips to Wii Virtual Console? The most famous of these games are Star Fox, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, and the SNES version of Doom. I know that in the early days of SNES emulation there were difficulties emulating Super FX games but one would think that Nintendo's in-house staff would be able to develop a solution easily.

Here's a complete list of these games, according to Wikipedia:

Games released with the Super FX chip

Dirt Trax FX
Star Fox
Stunt Race FX
Vortex

Games released with the Super FX 2 chip

Dirt Racer (PAL)
Doom
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Winter Gold / FX Skiing
