The only people losing interest in the Wii are maybe half the people who already have them and are rarely using them. Selling the hardware is one problem Nintendo does not currently have.
I don't think anyone predicted it would continue to sell out a year after its debut. Every time I saw one on store shelves, I kept thinking "Hey, they're finally able to keep the Wii in stock" only to find out that it was just a FLUKE that I saw one for sale.
