I too struggled to make it through Bioshock and suffered the same fate with the even less engaging sequel. I loved System Shock 2, but Bioshock just seemed dumbed down, ugly, and slow paced. I say skip it if it didn't grab you the first time. RE5 has it moments, but if you stopped playing you likely didn't think it was great, so skip it too. COD W@W was fun, but forgettable- skip it. Doom 3 was great, for about 4 hours then it started to become a grind. WIthout the graphical wow-factor of playing it back in the day, I'm jsut not sure if there is much meat to it. Oh and skip the expansion, it sucked even back then.
Don't get me wrong I know that many of these titles are well loved, but if you stopped playing them it seems to me you didn't enjoy them then, why go back now? |
Haha, you make such good points! Really. About all those 4 games. But somehow it feels wrong to skip. It's like, I want to watch the whole movie, you know?
Realistically I wont finish all those games though, maybe not even one. Since my back log looks like this: :/

Wolfenstein Bioshock (I was around 50% but lost my save game, is this worth to replay from the start?) STALKER Clear Sky Half-Life 2 (same here, save game is lost) Mass Effect Mass Effect 2 STALKER complete (Ive finished STALKER once but have to replay it with this superb mod) Assassin's Creed II Fable 2 Resident Evil 5 Dead Space King Arthur Medieval: Total War Risen Metro 2033 Mount & Blade: Warband If I had more time and energy I would also finish GTA 4, Far Cry2 (Im maybe halfways) and Tomb Raider Underworld (im probably on the last level) but I doubt I will ever finish them. |
