I thought about Elite Beat Agents, I love the game, but most people I showed it to didn't have much fun with it because it was too difficult (even at lowest setting). Osu tatakae ouendan isn't available here and the library will only buy games with at least german booklet.
Kirby canvas course is good, as well as Pokemon (but only one version - which is more popular?), and one of the trauma centers (better 1 or 2?) and Picross is excellent for the library.
