In any case we'll probably know a lot more once E3 is done and dusted. You know like they say every year, it depends on what happens in the holiday season really. So if MS has a better holiday season then they essentially have 2 in the bag + momentum and then its definately not happening. If they are relatively even then with no rate of change on this issue coming into next year we're looking at 2012 to never and if the PS3 ascends or however you want to describe it we're looking at sometime in 2011.
The funny thing is that roughly 2/3 possible scenarios are pretty much delay or dispell whereas only one of the three actually puts us any closer to the PS3 being in 2nd place. Really big bets are going on the table come the latter half of the year so I don't think that anyone ought to be speaking with certainty about this topic. The only certainty is the massive uncertainty which will remain until we see some good relevant sales data.
