The red cross isn't British, or American, or Afghan, or anything. It's international, it is independent and neutral. Just because they have American roots does not mean they hold any allegiance to you (they actually started in Switzerland too). Their only concern is that people are dying in conflict, and regardless of nationality or cause they want to help them.
