| Dodece said: Super Mario Galaxy may be the greatest platformer to come around in years, but its still a platformer. That means it suffers from the same weaknesses all platformers suffer from. Chief among those is replay. Most players will play through a platformer once, and the more intense might play their way through a second time. However the magic is short lived, and can never be recaptured. |
I must disagree with your take on platformers. Part of what makes platformers great is their replay value. Not only are games like that perfect for multiple playthroughs, but they're the kind of game where you can spend tons of replay time just running around and goofing off in the levels.
My response has nothing to do with Galaxy, but is merely a response based on platformers in general.
I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.
