And yes, Nintendo asked them to make a CD drive for SNES, but then they screwed them over and went to Philips, and for some reason they sticked to the cartidges. After they saw the success of PlayStation they made their systems disc based, even though they ripped on them in SNES era. Yup, a typicall Classical Greek philisophers

Wrong and I just explained all that in the post directly above yours.

so let me get this straight. Philips can use Nintendo IPs on their console (i think it was called CD-i or something, they had 3 Zelda games and Hotel Mario, all games flopped) but Sony cant??? Well guess what Nintendo, Philips isnt the one who kicked your ass 2 gens straight.

I hope dealing with Philips payed off for them...

I'm not sure what point you're trying to mKW about the CD-i but it sounds like you don't know much about it.  It was terrible.  Awful.  One of the worst systems ever created.  The Mario and Zelda games flopped because they were just plain terrible games in just about every aspect.

That wasn't so much Nintendo's fault, it was just the CD-i being terrible and had permission to use the licenses.
