Well for the AW LE that is really a limited edition at 9,999 copies available, so to sell through 6,900 of them on the first day is great! I bought my AW LE through Amazon JP, but I wasn't home for the delivery today, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to play it. 
As for the standard edition, well I'm sure it will have the majority(all) of the sales once the LE sells out. 
Nice first day for Galaxy 2, it should sell quite well once Friday and Saturday are included. (First day VG sales in Japan are pretty much always on Thursdays, except for Pokemon/DQ which usually release on Saturdays)
I still need to pick up SMG2 as well. I just picked up Alan Wake and the Tales of Vesperia: First Strike blu-ray movie, so I'm going to wait a little bit before I get it. I waited to get SMG1 as well, because my gf got it for me for Christmas.
