If you just rush to the end of a level in Wario Land, it's probably not going to be fun. You really have to take your time and search in every corner for secrets. 2D Mario you can play like you want, hence it's meeting most gamers expectations of what a platformer should be. All the biggest selling 2D platformers require a good amount of skill while I can't think of any big hits that relied more on exploring the levels or solving puzzles. As for how many levels there are in Wario Land: After the short tutorial level at the beginning there are five continents with four levels and a boss each, plus a final boss. Additionally there are a dozen hidden levels which are more challenging. If you go for 100 %, it should take at least 20 hours to complete this game. |
