Cell Phones, MP3 players, and laptops for college students makes one an IT leader? as opposed to OSs, Office Productivity, and server software?

Those are old, established markets. Very little growth.

Today the growth is in mobile computing, and Apple sells more mobile computers than any other manufacturer.
