Its because of CUDA. It makes developing this type of thing easier. Hence why Nvidia really didnt have to help with the code unlike AMD who needs to sit down and basically recode the entire program to use their GPUs.

Why don't they just use OpenCL? Then it would work on both GPUs.

 

I guess assembly and C are easier to code in? Or isnt supported on ATI.
