no you don't lose anything except your souls,there is no pause or death in the game and it saves everything as and when,
i think its brilliant,sometimes you'll defo need a break,you don't have to play online aswell,
i don't like all the messages,it spoils the game for me,you should be able to turn them off,but heh,you'll find out,and make your own mind up,
