I think I'm gonna go for a used 80 gig. The couple of possible sellers I'm looking at seems to be pretty legit. They have great reviews and say it's 100% guaranteed to work. I have bought several things used on amazon and never had problems (though it was mostly games, not so much hardware).
It's a risk I'm willing to take I guess, but I'm pretty confident there shouldn't be any problems. PS3 hardware is pretty reliable from what I hear. Now if I was buying a used 360, I might be a little concerned.
