Nintendo is the best company in Platform games

Case is, those are discussable, Nintendo and platformers isn't.  I'd say Valve makes the best shooters, not Infinity Ward. Some would say Namco makes better fighters than Capcom, and similarily.

If you go back pre-DS, you might be able to say that Electronic Arts had a similar domination over the "sim" genre.  Other than that, I can't think of anything that's even close to what Nintendo has with platformers.

 

This is what I meant...in all other genres you can have more discussion...but in platforming games, even if its only mario, Nintendo really is the best.
