Both the Wii & DS have become "global brands", that may well be here forever.

DS's will break, people grow older, kids grow into "DS owning age" (and want a new one, not a DS that is 3 years old!), people will pick up spares, etc.

There is *no* limit to the number of DS's that can be sold - they literally will sell forever, the only thing that will stop it - is the next model being released. Which will also use the DS name, you can believe that.

(if there are 250m people in the US, and ages are evenly distributed between ages 1..100 - which of course it isn't, there are always more "kids" - thats 2.5m people *every year* that come into DS buying age. I think there might be a sustained market for 10-15m DS's per year for example - its different with a console, as its usually one per house - and thats it).
