I see it this way: no matter how you slice it, the PS3 hasn't had a very successful launch in the US or Japan. In Europe things have gone alright so far to say the least, but definetly not something to write home about. Sony definetly knows these things and, while yes it may look bad for them now, Sony still has a of of hype surrounding titles such as Lair, which will definetly help Sony out for a while but probably won't give it the type of success and hype it needs in order to help out the system in the long run. Now of course we have HOME, Little Big Planet, MGS4, and many other multi platform titles to come out later on during the course of the year and into 08. And if you look at the Japanese Most Wanted List, you'll see a list with primarily PS3 games (also DS but thats different). In the end though, will the huge games such as Resident Evil 5, Final Fantasy, MGS4, and GTA4 come to late for the system? Will the 360 and Wii userbase be to high that gamers won't buy games on the PS3 anymore? Who knows, I didn't expect the Wii to outsell it by this much and I am not going to even try to predict the rest of 07. The only thing we know for sure that will greatly help sales of the system is a price drop, and i don't think Sony can afford something like that right now.
