I want to wait until February-ish to declare anything, but it's looking extremely likely that the PS3 has established a firm foothold in Europe now.
It's only been about 6 weeks that it's had a strong presence (that is, since the price drop), but it happens to be 6 weeks that are essential to yearly sales.
