Don't hold your breath, but if they did it would be a stupid idea... if it ain't broke...

But it is rather broke.  Super slow, confusing for noobs, content could be organized better.  I'd love to see a vastly refined and faster loading XMB!

What are you talking about XMB is easy to use. Everything is organized well, I was new to it all and found everything fast. It also doesn't seem slow to me. Plus didnt it win an award and thats why sony is using it in more of their stuff.

I have no clue about any award.  All I know is that there is no reason for it to take 5 seconds or so to load all my information after I choose a column.  It is especially slow when pulling it up while in a game.  As for content being organized better, things like being able to customize your status message and your profile need to be easier to find, and the settings for audio, video, etc. need to have some more noob friendly options.  I know my settings just fine and can change from optical to HDMI audio and all those other settings, but from people who don't know better they can end up without sound or with incorrect video settings.

The 360 dashboard, for example is instant when choosing rows/columns and even when pulling it up during a game.

The friend's menu is slow when trying to load up profiles and Trophies. That's about it. Unless I'm using it in-game or just booted up the XMB [takes like 10 seconds or something] it's never slow for me on any other menu - I don't see anything taking more than 2 seconds to load up. Changing your status message coun't be easier in my opinion. Go to where you see it, you either hit triangle and then it all becomes obvious since you see the word "Comment" on the menu. When you go to your profile itself, you can select the comment bar so I don't see how that could be made any more simple.

Setting are all under one menu [settings]. In that column there's a picture for each type of setting and the fonts pretty huge and clear. As for setting up stuff like Optical, HDMI, RCA, etc; there's clear instructions and they show you pictures of the wire ends AND the ports they go into. I don't see how anyone can mess that up.
