Agreed. With a sales like that, I'm sure Remedy will consider that! I mean from a business point of view, it common sense!! |
The only problem is that MS likely tied Remedy to an Xbox 360 "exclusive" release for a pre-set period of time. Maybe 12 months if not more.
Less than projected Xbox sales will make a much stronger case for a delayed Windows release for Remedy (in the interest of their bottom line), which ultimately benefits all those PC gamers who were hyped for AW, only to have it yanked away to promote the Xbox platform with an exclusive in the 11th hour.
But in all likelihood, a Windows release of AW has been in the cards all along even though terms of the exclusive release forbid any discussion or acknowledgment of the port (technically the original since it was initially coded for Windows) by Remedy.
The question is how well PC gamers will warm up to a delayed "port" of an Xbox game since they were essentially snubbed by the initial release of AW. Sales could be tepid at best.
And yes, I'd rather play AW on my PC with DX11 and 1920x1080 native res, but I'm not going to wait a year to play it and have already settled for the Xbox port.
I'll pick up the Windows version if and when it's released AFTER it's been out long enough to be sold on sale in the range of $20, 18+ months from now. That is if I even care to revisit the game by then.
