I don't think it's more than the 1 million. The game was released in the Summer and the sales weren't too hot so the initialt shipments could have lasted a long while. So I doubt any shipments were made after October, a minor shipment at best.
Still 1 million copies in sales is okay. $20 a piece in revenue and it nearly covers a team of 100 developers to work for two years (remember that some of that money has to go to marketing). And I doubt the team for Prey 2 will need to be big.
