It only takes a small trip to metacritic to recognize the level of quality that has hit the Wii in recent months. Sure we aren't seeing the biggest exclusives, but there is an undeniable quality among recent wii offerings. NMH 2 and Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Endless Ocean 2, Red Steel 2, Monster Hunter Tri, Silent Hill Shattered Memories.
Matter of fact this is the highest concentration of Wii games I have bought in a 6 month span, And it is not stopping as I intend to buy SMG2, Sin & Punishment. I had also made my mind up to buy Flingsmash and Metroid Other M, but due to the delays I will be picking them up at a later date?
Is anyone else happy with the Wii's current situation? I know I am.

I'm very happy indeed.
It's all down to the success of the Wii taking the entire industry by surprise. When both the Wii and the PS3 were announced everyone in the industry (including my good self!) expected the Wii to emulate the sales of the Gamecube and the PS3 to emulate the success of the PS2. This is the reason for the dodgy ports games that came out for the Wii at the beginning, everyone thought that despite the Wii flying off shelves during its first year that it was just a fad. It was only after Wiis continued to fly off shelves after Christmas 2007 that publishers started to take the Wii more seriously in 2008. That's why we started to see better quality titles released during 2009 and this year.
And now that a third party has finally released a AAA quality Wii exclusive and, more importantly, given Monster Hunter Tri a AAA quality marketing campaign other third parties I'm sure have learnt a valuable lesson I think.
