Uh huh, cause that's exactly what games like Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Star Fox, and others appeal to. What's with this sudden surge of Nintendo bashing on this site lately? And here I thought this was one of the few refugees on the net where the Nintendo hate was kept to a minimum.. |
I haven't noticed to much Wii bashing on this site, unlike many forums the Nintendo page on VGChartz isn't bombarded by Sony fanboys and Microsoft fans. In all this site is fairly civil.
As for the misconception that Nintendo is aiming at the elderly, women gamers and girls. Thats exactly the image that Nintendo is putting out. Were you watching E3 2008/09 Nintendo was aiming at the tween girl market with alot of the DS stuff and at the elderly and fitness junkies with things like WiiFit and WiiFitPlus. For the last few years Nintendo has been exclusively targetting the non-gaming market trying to attract non-gamers.
In their efforts to attract non-gamers Nintendo has turned off many real gamers. Does that mean Nintendo doesn't give real gamers a good game every now and then. No Nintendo does give gamers a few franchise offerings. But Nintendo's main goal is to expand the market to more and more non-gamers, thats just a fact.
PS Star Fox isn't on the Wii.
