The fact that a black wii exists now for $200 ? and the 10/10 for SMG 2 do make me want  to buy a wii somewhat, Yes.

But I like the fact that I haven't ever bought one. It was so popular and I didn't give into the hype. I looked at what was offered then, and weighed my choices carefully and love the fact that I never gave in.

But if the new Zelda comes out and it is great, I will almost have to get a wii.
and if Nintendo swallows their pride and finally adds an achievement system, I will shove people down trying to get a wii.

So overall the black wii and Mario have helped, but still not there yet.

Well aren't you the rebel :P

I'm not a fan of people branding Wii owners as simply buying it because they "jumped on the bandwagaon." I would have bought one had it only sold 10 million.

Hell, I was one of the 22 million proud GC owners and one of the 10 million DC owners, two of the most underrated consoles IMO.

Also achievements are a cheap cop out to try an add a quick and effortless sense of acomplishment that the game cannot otherwise provide. I'm a much bigger fan of things like unlockables.. Like in RE4 for example. these are achievements that actually reward you and impact the game itself, rather than simply slapping an online gamerscore on there and making that be the acomplishment. It gives cheap incentive to keep the gamer playing when they normally wouldn't had there been no achievements, and also gives the developer sort of a free pass to slack a bit more in their game, since that manufactured sense of accomplishment will always be there through achievements. All in my humble opinion of course :)
