Just need to make something clear for you it wasn't discounted heavily from the 2nd week, it was discounted from the 3rd or 4th week.

But you have no clue, in UK (and in a lot of Europe) if a new game holds its normal price for over a month, its a big surprise. For example LittleBigPlanet dropped to £15...5 weeks after its debut. (I'm sure Darth & other UK people know this too)

God of War III has been discounted to £25 in many stores now about a week or two ago. 

If there is demand a game will be bought, if the price is lowered earlier the game will have shorter legs as more people will get it now & not later, this will not affect the games total sales, but you have said in the past you think the game has flopped in sales, so there's no point arguing with your clearly false logic because you will never be impressed.

it was selling at $45 at some places and then further discounted.

 

LBP was a new IP and the reason that SONY was benefiting from selling the game at low prices and then getting more money by the huge lineup on DLC media molecule provided for it.

 

FF13 is an old and one of the ELITE franchises.

 

don't compare GOW with FF,FF is a far grater franchise

 

 

Not saying FF13 did bad but it didn't do grat either and comparing FF series,no way.And in the gen where software sales are off the hook,it should have had greater sales.

 

ASSASSINS CREED sold better than FF and its not just the slaes,the review score and quality dipped

 

FF is one of my top 10 franchises and hate for it to perform this way.hope they come back stongly with FF13 VERSUS,maket it well and make the impact it has done in the past.

Its going to be one of the best selling ones in the west all said & possibly the best selling one in Europe period, how didn't it do great compared to other ones? And the "no way" shows me you will not accept this, do some research & then talk buddy. No one is comparing GOW with FF, I am telling you prices fall for games her regardless of what they are.

So what if Assassins Creed sold better than FF, they are two separate markets, you cannot compare them, they are two genre's & assassins creed targets a wide audience. Final Fantas targets a audience belonging to a genre (JRPG) that is declining rapidly, be happy its sold over 5 Million

By this logic Metal gear Solid 4 has done disappointing sales too?
