Damn, that's quite a bit, and Gamestop is a huge video game seller

But not really big on console sales.  They sell them, sure, but they always have much smaller stock of consoles when compared to Walmart, Best Buy, etc.  They really focus way more on games.

Anecdotal as it may be, the stores in this area have been out of PS3's since earlier this year. My store only occasionally gets more then 4-5 PS3's in at a time though. Never both SKU's though. I think Sony need to really speed up production of the systems. Of course then again, knowing the way the shortages work in this area, we'll end up with an overabundance of consoles. x.o

Are you talking about Game Stop or Best Buy/other store?  I was merely pointing out that Gamestop focuses way more on software sales and tends to always have a low stock of consoles compared to big box stores.  So it would be a lot easier for a GS to be sold out compared to a Walmart or Best Buy.

If you were talking about Best Buy, my Best Buy has actually been out of stock of PS3s quite a bit too, yet Walmart, Target, K-mart, etc still had them so who knows.
