Obviously without sacrificing quality. Graphics should be scaled up or down to each console's best and it has been shown by Morrowind that even XB1, with 16MB total memory less than Wii and far inferior CPU and GPU could handle vast worlds, if the developers put the necessary efforts in it. Morrowind had a compromise, separed indoors and outdoors, but with more RAM, more CPU and GPU power, faster optical drive and the experience gained through all these years by programmers, I'm sure that even this compromise could be removed. (It should also be noted that some compromises on XB1 games were quite rushed, as initially MS announced its first console would have been far more powerful, with Athlon CPU and 128MB RAM, then they crippled the project settling for a crappy Celeron-Pentium III hybrid and 64MB RAM) |
yeah HD quality games like many developers have said would be available on the Wii by 2012-2013 by taking the full power of the Wii but likewise full power will also be taken out of the HD consoles which will have even better graphics
the thing is that you can put higher quality games on lower spec platform but it needs more time to be worked on.
like if you see what CRYSIS had done,it is easy to put it on high performance PC but difficult to put it on Consoles
the reason is that when you develop an engine for a game on high spec platform, you can design lots of pre made stuff that will be available when using the engine but with a low spec platform and use the pre designed stuff again and again, you have to do alot of it manually and individually.
so to develop high quality games on Wii is possible but it also needs more time compared to the HD platform
also even if Wii is able to produce high spec games,it will be hindered by its video output which can't output HD as HD consoles can.
and by the time Wii reaches details and quality tof current HD games,HD consoles would have moved further away
putting FF on Wii would even do SE and FF good as Wii owners will adopt it more than 360
